Have you ever experienced a psychometric test? Or wondered what DISC stood for and how it is used? Do you know what it takes to be accepted into a Graduate Program? Do you know the odds that are against you and what might give you that little bit of an extra edge to be selected into the Graduate Program?
This workshop will provide you with an opportunity to taste what it’s like to be in an assessment centre round of a Graduate Program interview process. The workshop will also take you through a roller coaster ride of preparation, anticipation, nerves, stress, joy, disappointment and into the other components of a graduate program interview process.
To make this workshop as real as possible, GGC has teamed up with YTML Consulting to provide the right person with a job opportunity. That’s right, an actual real job opportunity!

Get those word editors and cameras rolling!
This time girl geeks from various educational institutions and industries met up to network over pizza, chicken wings and soft drinks. For the geeks who do not like tea nor coffee, see, it isn’t always tea and coffee for us! 😉
Though it certainly did make our speed discussion activity more challenging.
Special thanks to Suncorp for sponsoring, catering, providing the venue, helping out at the event and giving away goodies; and the GGC Ambassador Team, for organising and promoting the event.
Remember to subscribe to this blog and join our Facebook group for the latest updates on future meetups. Another one is coming up very soon!

The first Sydney (recently also known as NSW) GGC meet up for 2012 was held at EnvoyAT on Thursday 3rd of May.
Girl geeks from various educational institutions and industries met up to network over cupcakes, tea and coffee. We had the opportunity to hear a talk from EnvoyAT General Manager, Andrew Waites, on what the software and web development startup has done and where they’re heading towards. They are also looking to expand their team with interns and graduates so check out the jobs section of their website!
We also had many speed discussions on who has coded or designed in the past few days. Or drank coffee within the last hour! Since we geeks were organised, we also jotted who has done so on a sheet shown below.
The first two people to fill up her sheet, wins a snuggie or mug! Just in time for winter.
Special thanks to EnvoyAT for sponsoring, catering, providing the venue and helping out at the event; Google for the prizes; GGC Founder Miriam Hochwald, and the GGC Ambassador Team, for organising and promoting the event.
